you see what we did there... Halloween #13 !? anywhooo, last Halloween post of tha year & to end our spook-a-thon a Clops look at 3 up&comin' horror movies set to make ya bum flap ! first up Spainish film Time Crimes :

tha lowdown... Hector & his wife are spending a routine afternoon unpacking furniture at their new house in the Spanish countryside. strange things start to happen : odd phone calls, glimpses of a topless woman out in his backyard ! so deciding to explore ( hoping for more sneaks of the topless woman ) everything starst to go wrong. a man with a pink-bandaged face starts attacking him & he escapes to a very strange facility, manned by a lone & suspicious scientist. apparently you've gotta pay close attention because everything you see is a referntial jigsaw image, as Hector travels back in time & meets the last person he expected - himself ! take note of Time Crimes cause the main mang himself, George A. Romero is down to direct the American remake ! next up Mum & Dad :

tha lowdown... you don't have to go to Texas for a derranged cannibal family : try Heathrow Airport in London ! That's where terminal cleaner Lena is stranded after a night shift & accepts help from perky colleague Birdie, who lives nearby with her parents. but her home turns out to be the worst house of horrors, for mum & dad abduct lone immigrants, torturing & debasing them into becoming part of their murderously dysfunctional kin. think Tobe Hooper meets Mike Leigh : dubbed as a genuinely shocking, very british, darkly witty tense little terror ! last up, The Wolfman :

tha lowdown... The Wolfman is a remake of the classic 1941 film of the same name. directed by Joe Johnston ( Jurassis Park 3 ) it stars Benicio del Toro, Hugo Weaving & Anthony Hopkins - set in the late 1880's the film keeps the plotline of the original, with Lawrence Talbot ( Toro ) a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. reunited with his estranged father ( Hopkins ), Talbot sets out to find his brother... and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. after he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget, but when his brother's fiancée tracks him down to help find her missing love Talbot returns home to join the search. he learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline ( Weaving ) has come to investigate.
